WHO?

YOU!  We try to select 50% well known speakers in the photography industry and 50% up-and-coming presenters for each Photographers Ignite line-up. If you think you don’t stand a chance of being selected….you do!

The following photographers presented at Photographers Ignite at WPPI 2013:
Tracey & Dee, Jennie Edwards, Vanessa Joy, Karen Seifert & Lindsey Thorne, Nichol Krupp, David Hakamaki, Julieanne Kost, Matt & Katie, Craig Strong, Lisa Novitsky & Ali Anderson, Mandy Hedderly, Becker, Melissa & Jerry Ghionis.

WHAT?

From Wikipedia: Ignite is a style of presentation where participants are given five minutes to speak on a subject accompanied by 20 slides. Each slide is displayed for 15 seconds, and slides are automatically advanced. The first Ignite was held in 2006 in Seattle, Washington, and was sponsored by O’Reilly Media and MAKE magazine.

In 2010, Kevin Kubota brought Photographers Ignite to thousands of photographers at WPPI. The first two years were such a success that it became the opening show for WPPI in February, 2012!

There are a panel of judges who review Ignite submissions after each deadline for the next event. All submissions are taken into consideration and voted on. The selected presenters are then notified of their acceptance and expected to appear at the next Photographers Ignite event.

Being a Photographers Ignite presenter is on a volunteer basis and is a fantastic way to share your unique ideas with an industry full of you peers. All presenters will receive a special gift for presenting. We can’t tell you what it is…but we can tell you it’s AMAZING.
